The silly season

Just before I tell you my joke for the day, I just wanted to tell you how we might help you through the silly season. You know how you always get the list of things to be done by Christmas like it is last day anything can be done. I’m sure most of you already have the list made out and you’re wondering how to tackle it. Usually at my place there are the big ticket items like, a room has to be painted, a pergola put up, a fence fixed, the kitchen refurbished, air conditioners fixed, or replaced, more power points put in etc… but it has to be done before the relatives rock up for the usual Christmas freebie and cast their eye over the place as if they care.
Take the stress out of it and let us help at Best Trade Bid. We not only find tradesmen, commonly known as “Tradies” but have a look at our list of providers. How about event organizers, party planners, entertainers, you may need an accountant, or a financial adviser to help you get through it all. Maybe you need a web site designer so you can make the extra dollars it’s all going to cost. Give it a go. List your requirements free on line and let us find someone who is available and willing to help you achieve your goal. Perhaps you’re looking for something really different for the special person in your life…apart from yourself. How about a printer so you can get something special printed on a mug, mouse pad, pens or T shirt, how about a makeover, that might send the wrong message, try a massage, Whatever you imagine, we’ll have a go at finding someone to provide that service or product in your area. I was thinking on the weekend as I was watching the sport on the TV, about all the things I should have been doing. The thought of searching for service providers during the week didn’t impress me and I certainly didn’t want to do it on my weekend, even if they were open for business. It got me thinking, how about I list all the jobs I need done on the web, and those that can do them can contact me. I could then choose who I want to complete the jobs, the phone ringing with service people offering their assistance will really look like I’ve been busy chasing up these people, when really I spent a few minutes on the net listing the jobs I wanted done, then just continued watching my sport. Yep I need to work smarter not harder.
Now for that joke I was going to tell you. The surgeon took his car to the mechanic to have it serviced. When it came time to pick it up, he stood watching the mechanic who had his head under the bonnet, spanners in hand, hand towel hanging out of the back pocket of his overalls. The mechanic stood up, turned to the surgeon and said. “See I do the same sort of job as you do. I fix broken arms, cracked heads, I replace valves, making everything run smoothly again. So how come I don’t get paid the same money as you do? The surgeon simply said, “You should try doing it with the motor still running”
